I’m, I’m gonna soak up the sun
I’m gonna tell everyone to lighten up
I’m gonna tell ‘em that
I’ve got no one to blame for everytime I feel lame
I’m looking up

I’m gonna soak up the sun
While it’s still free
I’m gonna soak up the sun
Before it goes out on me

We go to the pool most every day now. My chief, almost only, exercise these days is swimming laps with Youngest hanging onto my shoulders. Eldest is off at Girl Scout camp this week, so Youngest has me all to herself and she’s loving it (but also really missing her sister).

276: Here I am again filled with summer tears

Scrivener October 7th, 2007

Here I am again filled with summer tears, originally uploaded by Scrivenings.

I’m through fighting
the same situation the same frustrations
’cause summers almost gone
the love I planned to sing about never came along
and I can’t figure out where I belong
but ever year I sing the same old song
where’s that old time summer?
it’s another lost summer
another lost summer
