Apropos of nothing more than maybe the trajectory of my summer or the amount of time I spend perusing the beer aisle, but I find myself identifying the beers my friends post in their photos by even the smallest bits of label showing.

That lunch looks wonderful and it was good to see your pics in my feed reader tonight.

fabulous meal! at first i saw the bowl as floating on nothing — optical illusion but cool.

Miranda: That’s a good skill to develop. And thanks, I would like to be more regular about posting a picture each day instead of uploading them in batches, but sometimes I just can’t manage it. I’m glad there are still people checking in.

CGM: Glass tables are fun. It was the perfect meal for the mood I was in, and the hummous is one that I used to make a lot but haven’t in a long time, so I am really enjoying it. It’s basically just a can of chick peas, a little olive oil, a couple tablespoons of plain yogurt, a green onion, a little salt and pepper, and 2 cloves of garlic (and I usually add some cumin, but was out this time so I used some spicy red curry powder), all processed in a food processor.

i love making hummus and baba ghanouj, though i hate to do it without tahini. i’m a sesame sucker. your version sounds really interesting, though! i’ll have to give it a try this summer!
