I actually took the photo specifically in response to the poem. I'm going to try, for National Poetry Month, to take all of my portraits with a specific poem in mind. I doubt that they'll all respond directly, but the goal will be to have a poem inform each photo in some way. I came up with this idea on the fly on Tuesday and have no idea how it will play out or whether it will continue to be interesting at all.
