   Whoah, Scriv-this is really wonderful. Love the color. I sort of miss your head, but the photo is so good.

   “I sort of miss your head.” !! That’s a profound sentiment in a way. And, indeed, the shot itself is really nice; the colors are fantastic.

   I was getting kind of sick of my head being in so many shots, so I decided to leave it out. I’m glad y’all like it. I was trying to pay close attention to body language in this one, which is something I generally don’t do, or not consciously much at least. The idea of showing just the torso in a pose like this one came first, then thinking about color and light. Funnily enough, as simple as this shot is in a lot of ways, I think I probably spent more time thinking it through beforehand than I have with almost any other shot this year.
