Cookies!

Chocolate chip, dried cherry, and pecan cookies, originally uploaded by Scrivenings.

A friend sent a care package which included, amongst other things, her recipe for these cookies, which the kids and I made yesterday, and they are awesome.
Once the cookies were cooled, the kids decided we needed to have a tea party, so they went and got dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Then they set their table while I made some hot chocolate.

Those cookies look delicious!
They do look delicious.
I love how you cook with your girls and build with them, too. What a great role model, and what fun!
Any chance you’d post the recipe? They look awesome. Seriously, that close-up photo is making my mouth water!
these look fantastic. are you going to post the recipe or is it heavily guarded?
May I have a cookie? Oh, and a glass of milk, please.
You and the girls have so much fun together! It’s moments like these Iremember most from my childhood, and I know the girls will always think back on these times, too.
Oh my God. Want. Those. Cookies.
I don’t actually know whether it’s a secret recipe or not. I will have to check.
yummers! how sweet that you had a tea party.
I’m wondering, too, if the recipe is a heavily guarded secret!
Oh. YUM. Amazing looking cookies! MUST HAVE THE RECIPE.
Do you have a strike beard? Or is that Letterman in your kitchen eating those COOKIES!!
m: Haha, yes I should claim that I’m growing the beard in solidarity with the writers. I should start including writers’ strike slogans in my Whiskerino pictures. This article from the New Yorkers “Talk of the Town” on Letterman and Conan and writers growing beards is pretty good.
I hope you find out if the recipe is secret or not soon since my mouth is watering here and I really really want to eat those cookies
What a fun tea party you had!! I need to hold one of those with the boys. Gotta make the cookies first, though….
The first cookie shot makes my mouth water.
