As my high school English teacher said–and I have mockingly repeated for almost twenty years, even though it is often enough true–water is always symbolic of baptism and rebirth, so this seemed like a nice way to start off this new adventure, 2008.

(I knew this was a leap year, but had not thought about its implications for this project. I suppose it should properly be called Project 366 this year.)

Thanks for the 366 reminder. I’ll have to change my numbering.
    This is a WONDERFUL photo.

Hah! It SHOULD be Project 366!

So, all self portraits this year, right? Looking forward to it!

Yes, the plan is for all self-portraits. I am already feeling some trepidation about that–how am I going to take another 366 self-portraits this year? It may be that I sneak in some non-selfies. We’ll see.

Ahhh…looks like a great idea! As for the self-portraits, a friend’s husband did “Bedhead 365″…he took a shot of himself every morning, right out of bed, for a year. It sounds kind of lame, but it was really hilarious. I think it’s now a slide show on you tube :)
