   where do you get these cool abstracts?

   Often they come from shots that I messed up. I was trying to take a macro of the chipped paint on the red wood wall in the kids’ gymnastics place, with the blue padded carpet behind it, but was having a hard time getting it to come out looking right, so then I started messing around. I set a long exposure and then held the camera in place for the first half of and then waved it around for the second half, so I got a series of different depths of diagonal lines of color. Then I fiddled around with the colors in PS to make it more abstracted and to get some more interesting colors in it.
