Whiskerino

Scrivener November 1st, 2007

I will write an actual post later, hopefully with Halloween pictures and everything. In the meantime, who out there will be joining me in the 2007 iteration of the Whiskerino? Anyone?

I’m about to go shave and take my first picture. It’s likely that my 365 project will become much more self-portrait intensive for the rest of the year. And I think that next year, I’m going to do the version of 365 where I post a self-portrait every day, especially since I’ll have two months of self-portraits to start off the year anyway.

ETA: And here’s my pic for the first day:

I gotta say, dammit, that I spent all that time ironing those damned ruffles on the shirt and they are blown out in the photo enough that you can’t see them anyway. Sigh.

ETA: Holy cow, there are going to be almost twice as many guys in this year’s Whiskerino as there were two years ago. It was a little overwhelming having 150 beards to keep up with, can’t imagine how I’ll stay abreast of the contest now.  That’s a lot of beards.

Awesome Bobafred! Glad you’ll be joining us. I know Mason is going to be growing and showing, too.

I’ve got to crop and upload mine too. I got held up cuz I had to iron all the damn ruffles on my tuxedo shirt.

I don’t think I can join you in whiskerino, unless you want me to take pictures of my legs and arm pits. :)

I’m looking forward to all of your self-portraits, tho.

I think you should incorporate the tux into your regular sartorial rotation.

Very cool, Scriv. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough facial hair to participate, but I’ll live vicariously through you. :-)

It was 150 last year! It’s about 300 right now!

I have contained my comments about asking if you will wear your ex’s wedding gown for a Day 3.

Congrats on the new virtual space!
And . . . I’m so sorry about the rest of the lifeworld dissolution. I have no words right now.
Finally, I’m pledging to get back into the fold (though my life has been overwhelmingly hectic the past 6 months, and show no sign of abating), so look for me more often.

Justin: Um, have you contained them? Cuz there’s one of them right there. It’s an idea, but I think she’d disapprove.

Dr. MMMmmmMmmmmmMMMMmMm!! How good to see you. I’ve been meaning to write to you for ages, but it’s been pretty hectic around here too.

I keep forgetting that telling people about the things I didn’t say is as good as saying them.

(The new digs are classy too!)
