90: Poodle skirt

Poodle skirt, originally uploaded by Scrivenings.

We threw a sock hop party for my mother-in-law, who turned 60, last night–rented out the American Legion hall in Buckhead, and invited about 100 of her friends and family to attend dressed in leather jackets and poodle skirts. I was the photographer for the night: we set up a balloon arch in the back and I took prom-ish portraits of the couples and I also roamed around taking shots of costumes and dancers and family reunion moments. I took just shy of 500 photos last night, and I haven’t even really begun to cull through them. Who knows how long that’ll take?

Here’s Catherine in her very twirly poodle skirt.

Your first step toward weddings and school portraits! Maybe you should consider this as your new career direction (in which case I will be exceedingly jealous).

    Very cute poodle skirt.
